Trip Report

The trip up and down was in beautiful country and on beautiful trails with good footing. Dicey’s Mill Tr. was especially well constructed and with good footing. Rollins Tr. was unexpectedly rugged. I called it Rollins Band in my mind and to my surprise passed a guy who looked like Lenny Kravitz, decked out in requisite sunglasses, sitting barefoot on a rock overlooking the Bowl. Rollins Tr. wasn’t rough, but had frequent steep pitches. There were few views on this trip because I decided not to hike the Whiteface ledges. The valley trip was rewarding – it was peaceful and the woods were beautiful and the trail was easy going. There’s not a lot else to say. This trip was a let-down after Isolation.
